ROI Calculator
ERP ROI calculator: what could Central ERP be worth to you?
Our ERP ROI calculator gives you a quick, honest estimate of the value of bringing your business into one system. Add the tasks and tools you use today, then compare conservative, realistic and optimistic results against the cost.
Time recovered
List each manual or duplicated task your team does today. Add a line for every step in the chain, for example email to form to spreadsheet.
Direct cost removed
List each tool or subscription Central ERP would replace. Only count spend you can point to on an invoice.
Capacity freed
The value of extra work your team could take on with the time freed up. Add a line for each opportunity.
Keep this separate from time recovered so the same hours are not counted twice. Time recovered values freed time as cost saved; this values it as new output.
Faster cash flow
Quicker, cleaner invoicing means the same money arrives sooner. This is a working capital gain, not new profit.
£480,000 a year, paid 15 days sooner, at 8% = £1,578 a year
New revenue won
Getting quotes out faster means fewer go cold. Count the margin you would make, not the turnover.
Risk and error reduction
The cost of things going wrong, made less likely: billing errors, missed deadlines and rework.
4 of 6 value drivers switched on. Most businesses find three to five that genuinely fit how they work.

ERP ROI calculator: your questions answered
How do you calculate the ROI of an ERP system?
Add up the annual value the system creates, such as hours no longer spent re-keying data, software you stop paying for and invoices paid sooner. Then compare it with the cost of the system over the same period. Our ERP ROI calculator does this for you and shows the payback period too.
Why does the calculator show three estimates?
No one can know exactly how quickly a team will adopt new software, so the calculator shows a conservative, realistic and optimistic estimate side by side. Each uses a different assumption, such as the share of manual time recovered. Planning around the conservative figure keeps your business case on safe ground.
What is a good payback period for ERP software?
For an SME, an ERP system that pays for itself within 12 to 18 months is generally a strong investment. Central ERP is priced per user with no enterprise licence, so your costs are predictable and the calculator can show the month when the value created overtakes what you pay.
Is the ROI calculator result a quote?
No. The results are estimates to help you decide whether Central ERP is worth exploring, based on the figures you enter. Prices exclude VAT. For a firm price and a view of the value in your own processes, book a demo and our UK team will work through it with you.
What figures do I need for the ERP ROI calculator?
You need rough figures for the manual tasks your team does each week and their hourly cost, plus the monthly cost of any tools Central ERP would replace. You can also add capacity freed, average monthly invoicing, average deal value and margin, and the cost of a typical error, for a fuller estimate.
Can I save or share my ERP ROI calculator results?
Yes. Add your business name if you wish, then use the save or print button to produce a printout of your results and costs. You can save it as a PDF from your browser's print options and share it with fellow directors, your finance team or your accountant when building a business case.
Why should the same hours not be counted twice in an ERP ROI estimate?
Because it inflates the result. If freed time is already valued as cost saved under time recovered, valuing the same hours again as new output overstates the return. The calculator keeps time recovered and capacity freed separate for this reason, so list each hour under only one of them for a credible business case.
